There's absolutely no need to spend the mare 1US$ for this museum, as most of the exhibits can be seen from the street (and there're not that many of them to begin with). The bust of Dracula provides a lovely photo-op, but that's about it.

This palace is thought to be one of the residences of Vlad III - which is AWESOME. There are ruins outside that are visible from the street and from the patio of restaurant Crama Domneasca. A bust of Vlad is also located on the site and facing Strada Franceză. At the time of my visit the city was doing some... More

A relatively small place. Not really a museum, just the few remaining ruins of a castle. Not bad, but there much better things to see in Bucharest.

I asked the guard and a nearby shopkeeper and both gave me the impression it has been closed for some time with no plans to reopen soon. I came to visit midweek and there were no workmen or signs of current renovating. Shame as it is an important landmark. You can view from outside the steel picket fence but access... More

You can view over 90% of the artefacts from outside through the tailings so there is no need to pay to go in unless you want a closer look but everything is laid out clearly and in good view. It's worth a look but I didn't find it anything special

To be very honest - there is not too much to see. If you know where you are - in the old town of the city - than you can immagine, how life was some 500 years ago.

I only happens into this museum as it opened at 9am! For under a euro I was given a personal tour by Jean Baptiste. I should imagine if you went and it was busy you may not be given such personal attention. I was so glad I got it as the passion and humor he put into the story gave... More

This is where the beginnings of Bucharest was built and now are the remains of The Old Court near the center of Old Town. You can walk around the remains...there are some interesting pieces.

Located in the center of Old Town, this area of archaeological diggings have released proof of the existence of some 6th-7th century cottages, as well as remains of 14th century fortress. Built in the time of Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) this site was is most probably where he ruled and did some of his most gruesome murders. This area is... More
