Small collection but very enjoyable. The building on the inside is beautiful and worth the time. Give yourself a couple of hours.

There is a small but nice collection, including some truly excellent works, which gives a good sense of the history of art in Moldova from early orthodox iconoclast through to modern sculpture and painting. We have been taking our teenage / school age kids to...More

I would not call this a must-see, but there is some lovely art here. It has a decent Renaissance collection, but a lot of the paintings and sculptures seem to have been created by A. Nonymous. Nothing really outstanding but a pleasant and manageable museum.

Beautiful renovated gallery in near the centre. Helpful staff, even with limited English and my no Romanian language skills! Some great artefacts on display in a light and old building. I recommend visiting, even on a snowy day!

The Museum is situated in the very heart of Chisinau! A former Girl Gymnasium that today holds one of the best and beautiful collection of paintings and statues, some 6 centuries old! The price of the ticket is somewhere 1$, with a small extra charge...More

With scarcity of venues to visit here, this really is a must visit site if you like beautifully restored majestic buildings, housing an excellent collection of local art. The staff were very professional, though seeming to follow most guests into rooms ... which for some...More

The collection is not huge but for only 10lei (another 15 for photos) you probably won't mind. If you like art, you'll probably be very satisfied. There is a range of styles/techniques and I loved that the sculptures in one room are laid out in...More
