When we went by, the square didn't have to much going on so it was just a quick look at it then we moved on. There were a few restaurants and bars and the statue of the squares namesake as well. The church in the square was covered over and being restored as were a lot of the churches in the city when we visited. It may be livelier in the summer but as we were there in early March 2023, not much was happening.

This public square is named for Petr Preradović, a Croatian poet, writer, and military general. He was one of the most important Croatian poets and perhaps best known for his role in the cultural and political campaign for pan-South-Slavic revival at a time when the region was part of the Austrian Empire. The public also has a monument to Preradovića. The square is pretty much in the middle of the touristy area of Zagreb with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes around. The most prominent building is probably the Zagreb Orthodox Cathedral on the northern side of the square. Worth visiting.

Located in the wonderful Lower Town of Zagreb is Square Of Petar Preradovic ,a really wonderful square my twin brother Stephen and I chanced upon as we were pub and bar hopping around this part of town and what a great find.
The square is dominated by the beautiful Church Of The Transfiguration Of The Lord ,a beautiful church that on our visit was under wraps as a major restoration was in progress ,there's also a great statue in honour of Petar Preradovic ,the famous Croatian poet, writer and military leader ,around the square are some great pubs, bars and restaurants ,if you're in the Lower Town it's a square to most definitely check out.

Not our favorite part of Zagreb, but nonetheless, still really pretty and quaint. The little church adjacent to it add to the vibe around it.

Small square surrouded caffes, flower shops anda shopping mall. Its local name is cvjetni or flowers which is due to the fliwer shops. In middle is the statue and on the side the ortodox church. As it was xmas you have close by the advent stands.
Overall you can make a stop here and have a coffea or drink

This square is located next to a mall and is flanked at one end by the orthodox church. There are a number of nice cafes around where one can sit and spend time.
This square is also known as the flower square or flower market.
At night the square is well lit and presents a good view with the statue of Petar Preradovic standing tall with the imposing backdrop of the beautiful Orthodox church.
A sure nice place.
