This very long popular shopping street, has something for everyone, everything can be found from posh to budget shops. This time of year is especially special as the Christmas festival is well on the way, at night the street comes alive with Chrissie lights.

Possibly the most popular shopping street in Zagreb, however it is adorned with some interesting buildings if you like architecture. If you are not interested in architecture neither shopping, not much to do in here, I´m afraid.

Despite the fact that it's a short 5 min walk away from Jelačić Square, Ilica already feels less touristy and commercialised, more like the centre for a small suburb. I ended up on it looking for the Britanac Market (antiques flea market) on a Sunday,...More

Bustling main artery of Zagreb. Shops, restaurants, cafés, hotels. Full of people at all hours. Fun to just sit in a cafe and watch the world go by.
