    Short but enjoyable ride
This funicular is very short; it only takes about a minute for the actual moving part of it (beyond loading and unloading). We rode it up once during our visit to Zagreb, mostly for the experience. It will save you a little energy over walking up the nearby paths and stairs, but probably not any time after buying your ticket, waiting for the next departure (it seemed to be every 5-10 minutes) and getting out up top. That said, it was a unique experience for us inside a city, and I'm sure children would enjoy it even more. We were glad that we gave it a try, and it only cost a euro or so to ride.

    64 seconds of thrills.
Luckily you can use your transit card to access the funicular as it it literally takes 64 seconds from top to bottom or bottom to top of actual travel time. It goes about very 10 or 5 minutes so we actually spent more time getting on and off and waiting for it to go. We got on just before midday and the cannon on the tower above went off and scared the heck out of my wife and the others on the funicular. Luckily I had read about it but forgot to tell my wife. It was extremely loud (140Db) and rattled the windows of the carriage. Its not a really worthwhile trip but I can't stop myself from doing a city funicular. Its probably just the unique experience of it that we don't really have in Australia. There is OK signage off the main road to find the bottom stop and its a little walk up a road to get to it.

    Odd little funicular
It is so short that you really wonder why they bothered building this! If you get your timing wrong, it is certainly quickly to walk up! Still it is a quirky thing to do. At the top there are a few touristy things to do - St Marks, midday gun and the Broken Relationships ‘museum’. We walked down!

Everyone needs to ride a funicular whenever they can! And this is a cute one, it’s really more practical, it’s debatable if it is a tourist attraction but it’s a charming piece of history, cheap and a practical ‘gets you up a hill’

Cheap, quick trip up to the old town which saves your legs for climbing the tower at the top and the many steps up and down as you explore the upper and lower town. Minimal waiting time to board when we were there - 2 running simultaneously, 1 going up, 1 going down.

The shortest funicular which I’ve ever seen. And the shortest trip! It’s interesting place and the best way to go up. Recommend you to visit.

It's a very short ride - but fun. And surprisingly handy for getting around the city. Despite being short the views from the top are worth using it alone!

Ok, so we didn’t ride the funicular but came to see it running. To be fair, as a lot of reviews seem to point out, it is probably quicker to walk than take the minute-long ride!

Zagreb is one of the friendliest cities we've visited. Unfortunately the conductor on this service was utterly rude, abusive and extraordinarily stupid. Take the steps, don't bother with this oaf.

Nice little funicular that will save you a steep walk. Very inexpensive and fun! Plenty of shopping and cafes at the bottom.

Takes 2 minutes max. almost quicker and easier to walk the steps. Fun to do for children but otherwise only for the very very lazy.
