I was so pleasantly surprised once i entered the exhibition. The place is filled with amazing art pieces, reconstructions of past performative art. Unfortunately we had only left 1.5h of time for the visit but i would recommend at least 3h as there is so much to see and explore. One of my favourite places visited in Zagreb

Really good but really small. Really needs another floor of art. I liked the paint on glass room and carvings. Bit underwhelming at the beginning floral paintings.

A little way out of town on the tram. Place pretty deserted. Most exhibits have English descriptions in addition to Croatian. Some interesting stuff and some reaally wierd!

We visited here on a very warm Tuesday. You get the number 6 tram to the end of the line and then use the underpass to reach the museum. It doesn’t open until 11am so we had a coffee in the great cafe outside. It’s a nice enough space inside and certainly cool on a hot day. The exhibitions themselves were ok … nothing hugely memorable but a nice way to spend and an hour or so before riding home. If you only have a day or two there is probably more to do in the old town than riding all the way out here but we enjoyed it as we had three days and wanted to see a bit more of the city.

The permanent exhibition is closed. I went there today (30 min tram ride from city centre) and upon arrival the attendant informed us that it was not possible to visit the permanent collection, that it would be closed for the next year and that there was a « video » exhibition we could visit (which we did not). Very disappointing…

We took tram 6 to the end of the line; no signage for art museum.
Much small (art?) displays and lots of empty walls.
Trughed around for about a 1/2 hour; uninspired.
The graffiti around the train station was better (and free) than the 10 bucks or so to witness dismal.

This is by far the biggest museum I have ever visited !
It was amazing to see a lot of art and the way contemporary artists express temselves.
This is a must to visit in Zagreb. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to visit the whole museum, but what I saw was amazing! Here are some photos ^.^

You should give yourself a full day to visit this museum! It is totally worth it !

I love museums of modern/contemporary art. They are often entertaining, provoking, innovative and humorous – often at the same time. This museum, located in a large, moder and stylish building should be able to engage. Sadly, it doesn't. Here is vast opportunities for improvement, engaging the audience in a render-vous with the Croatian art scene.

Take the tram 20 minutes to get here, then waited 40 minutes for it to open at 11 AM. Then, found out it was closed for renovation, but for a special exhibit. The exhibit was certainly worth seeing, as it was very different, all done with pencil/lead. Honestly, I don’t think I would travel 20 minutes each direction to see this exhibit, had I not already been there.

inconvenient location but went anyway and then found 3/4 of the museum closed for renovation & re-installation. Wish the website had informed. Beautiful building.
