We visited his exhibits in Split and Dubrivnik, but the setting is special in Zagreb. Note the carved chairs in the dining room and the painted ceiling up the stairs.

Mestrovic's sculptures were new to me and I was stunned by them.There is a human quality to his work - especially his Pieta - that makes you stop in looking at them. Though most of the furniture is now gone, this was his Zagreb home...More

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to this gallery. Was reasonably priced, can get around the gallery in an hour or less. Very pleased my husband wanted us to go here.
