    Nice
It is a beautiful sight of Zagreb. The people who are selling the tickets are so bored so at some point you don’t want to go up there. I bought the ticket for 3 Euros 💶 and went upstairs. At some stage you think that there won’t be an open area but at the end there is and you can see Zagreb in 360 degrees.

    Tower in upper Zagreb
This tower is located right at the top of the funicular between lower and upper parts of Zagreb. We didn't get the chance to go inside it, but we were there in the courtyard below it for the daily noon firing of the cannon from its top. This was a fun experience - and startlingly loud, even if you're expecting it! We were told the name means "Burglars' Tower" and that it was part of the defense of the city during the Middle Ages.

    Cheap excellent views of Zagreb.
Set your watches and watch your ears. People of Zagreb have set their watches by the cannon blast at 12 midday since the middle of the 19th century. Just watch your ears though as its bloody loud. We found this out when sitting on the funicular below. I knew it was going off but didn't realize it was 140Db. It scared the heck out of my wife and others on the funicular which was actually funny to see. It costs 3 Euros each to enter and has a narrow winding staircase to reach the top which was a fairly easy climb. It had amazing views of Zagreb and was a great price. Other towers in Europe we had climbed had cost a lot more. You can see the cannon when climbing the stairs and as it had just been fired, you could still smell the cordite in the air. If you're in the tower when it goes off, make sure you cover your ears as it is 140 Db. This was a great experience and well worth the money and time to get awesome views over Zagreb.

Fortified tower which in the 13th century was constructed to guard the southern gate of the Gradec town wall.

Every noon the small cannon up in the tower is fired (quite a loud report).

3€ is bang on the money for this. A few floors, with some extra information on some of them about the history of the tower and the gun. Views were really good, and allowed a panorama.

Located at the top of the funicular railway. Entrance is 3,0E/ adult and it has some steep wooden staircases to get to the top but the view that it provides over Zagreb is amazing - so worth it.

We went in the early afternoon and you could still smell the cordite from the noon cannon.

Since the middle of the 19th century, the inhabitants of Zagreb have set their clocks at noon by the cannon fired from this tower. You can also climb it for some good views over Zagreb.

Located next to the funicular, the Lotrščak Tower is one of the best-preserved buildings of the city's former defense system. That's where Grič's cannon is located, which, every day since 1877 (almost it was silent for a few years), at noon, fires a shot.

At one time, this tower had a bell which announced the closing of the city gates each evening – anyone left outside at night ran the risk of being robbed.

The tower is located practically in front of the Funicular exit, in the upper area of the city center of Zagreb, so it is very easy to reach and find it. The climb to the highest point of the tower is divided into stages on a total of three levels which are nothing more than rooms with windows from which it is possible to admire the city and learn more about the history of the tower from the numerous information posted on the walls with images. The stairs have narrow spaces and wider spaces but they are closed (in the sense that you can't see down by looking down).

If you do not plan to climb the tower, I still recommend that you are there for the firing of the cannon. Although it is quite loud, there was quite the crowd with a party like atmosphere.

Missing it might be a real FOMO.
So as it is not far from the center of Zagreb, its market, main square and pubs street, walk the 5-10 minutes and get there, pay the small fee (less than 5 euros), climb it and enjoy.
No worry it is not that high nor difficult ;-)
Definitely a must if you enjoy taking pictures.

One of the landmark structures of the city is The Lotrščak Tower .
Located in the Old Town ( Upper Town ) ,the tower dates from the 13th century and was originally built to guard the southern gate of the Old Town walls ,for €3 you can ascend the tower ,great views of the city and at midday a cannon is fired to mark midday ,it's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Upper Town and easy to locate along Strossmayerovo Setaliste.

The climb up to the top of the tower was well worth €3 - the view over the city is great. Plus we returned the next day just before noon to hear the cannon going off - that was so loud and fun - definitely make sure you hear it!
