The statue represent the Tsar who won Bulgaria back from the Ottoman Empire. There was a guy cleaning the whole time and flowers everywhere. In front is the Russian building. Cool

Not a lot you can say about this, it's a statue! Set against the backdrop of posh hotels & the yellow brick road it's just down from the Nevsky Church.

After my trip around Sofia, I found myself Googling a lot of what I'd seen so I could learn more about the countries history.

After visiting Nevsky Cathedral plan a ride under this statue (250 m away). Impressive statue but that's all.

Worth a visit as it stands opposite the Assembly. The relief on the pedestal show scenes from battles and the signing of a treaty

Every European country boasts of monuments and statues that remind of its people about honoring and remembering great heroes of their glorious past. Situated in a busy pedestrian and in front of fòod establishments, this lifelike statue gets even more beautiful when dark falls.

The Monument is located just in front of the Bulgarian Parliament. The statue is from the Bulgarian people to Tsar Alexander II and Russian Army for their contribution to the freedom of Bulgaria.
