Have visited during a short break in Sofia. It looked as if it was closed but when we entered the security told us we can visit inside. He was very kind and welcoming. The ticket was 2 or 3 lev. It is the largest synagogue...More

A majestic building yet a pity we couldn't visit when we were there, closed and no one around. We had heard how many Jews had survived WW2 in Bulgaria . Close to the centre. Would be worth booking a visit inside.

Rich history of the Jewish Bulgarian community can be learned through a visit to this house of worship. We were fortunate to meet some members and the Rabbi and learn about its history. Visit must be pre-arranged.

Good for a quick visit, in Sofia it's possible to visit a Synagogue, Church and Mosque in the city center, I see it as a good opportunity. Worth to visit for 1€

The architecture is amazing. It reminded me of an Arabesque building. It is large inside and beautifully decorated.
