Went there in the summer with a cable car with some hiking afterwards. The views are incredible and the path we took wasn't too hard. The temperature was also perfect, very refreshing since it was way too hot in the city center.

absolutely stunning but beware cable car only open weekends. The cable car ride is idyllic and very cheap and the views at the top are worth it

Family live here in the mountains, very good for walkers or to just get away from the city and relax. People are friendly and helpful and the area is quiet.

I love spending time in Vitosha mountain, walking all those small paths, where not too many tourists go. Unfortunately, during weekends it looks more like Vitoshka street: packed with people and noisy.

This is a nice place just above the capital where you can have some hiking and sightseeing. Be aware of the weather when you plan to visit it. It's good to have a proper equipment for hiking, especially in the winter.

It is a short drive from central Sofia to the trailhead. We spent several hours hiking a well marked trail through the dense forest on Vitosha Mountain. Along the way we saw fields of huge boulders, waterfalls and blooming wild flowers. There was a cozy...More
