Poet and his wife lived here in 1913-14

A few rooms which were occupied by the couple for a short period in the early 1900s are quite absorbing. Furnishings including wallpaper are as then were, adding to the evocative atmosphere.

Peyu was a famous poet, writing much love poetry. Examples of his writings are shown throughout. He was also active as a revolutionary in lands that continued under Ottoman rule.

In the garden is a fine sculpture of the poet, deep in pensive thought.

His wife tragically shot herself in 1913. A year later the poet also took his own life.
