We were told that this is an old caravanserai from Ottoman times, where caravans would stop for food and rest. Now it's a courtyard filled with cafes and coffee shops. It was relatively busy when we stopped there in late May. We didn't stay to eat or drink anything, but enjoyed a quick look around at the shaded courtyard.

When we visited, there wasn't much going on and it didn't match the hype of being the hot place to be. even though it wasn't the best weather, cold and slushy snow on the ground, there wasn't much to see and there wasn't to many people in there. There was only one café with people in that was busy. A bit disappointed by it as I was looking forward to partaking in a coffee at one of the supposedly busy and bustling coffee places there.

We drooped into this Han during our free walking tour due to it historic value, it is definitely worth a visit, if only for a coffee, as the locals flock here, especially on a Friday, Points of interest is the wonderful, carpet shop, that doesn't look like it has changed from the old times, the court yard is a lovely place to hang out.

Tucked inside a passage way, I would not find this attraction on my own. My guide and I briefly stopped here. He explained what this place was in earlier periods.

Now there is carpet place here plus coffee shops and bars.

Stopped for a drink and enjoyed looking at Gallery Isfahan’s beautiful displays. Brightly coloured rugs and Turkish lights added to the charm of Monica Han.

a relatively small entrance leads you to this vast caravanserai, now occupied (as it was) by restaurant and bars catering to the new (air) travellers, rather than horse riders. no more animals hosted inside, nor weary guests on the upper level, but a colourful store worth visiting (lamps and carpets) and offices upstairs.stop for a Bosnian coffee and make sure you learn the differences from a Turkish coffee and how it should be prepared and served,

The Morića han was begun as a village (vakuf) by the Ottoman ruler in the late 16th century. It is the only of its kind left. It consisted of large buildings within walls that were closed and fortified so that large caravans traveling through the area would be safe for the night. They could get food and accommodations for groups up to 300 people and 70 horses. It is now an area with shopping and places to eat.

Don't miss Gallery Isfahan and other shops in the Morica Han. It shows well what the hans, or caravan serails, had as their chief function - to offer place for sleeping to the medieval traders, while protecting their goods from theft and fire

Typical touristic restaurant with not bad but not such a good food either, not cozy at all, regular service... I wouldnt recommend. The hole bulding has an interesting story, it was an old hostel for travelers in acient times. But the restaurant itself... Lots of better places that one can have typical bosnian food.

Incredibily uncomfortable seating. Terrible service. Disgusting food.

My first time in Sarajevo.

Would be the last if all places were like this.
