Entry fee 5KM ... I am interested in learning more about this country and its capital city, so took myself off to this Museum ... but alas the experience was not as I had hoped for. The Museum is like many institutions in BiH, and is very short on funds. Firstly it was freezing cold inside - too expensive to... More

Although on the outside it looked somehow old and obsolete... I was amazed by all exhibitions inside. The story of the war... got me crying. The part dedicated to ex-Yugoslavian life artifacts reminded me of old good times when we were one and we were trying to keep up with world in the fashion, food, life... A must see.

At the time I visited I think some of the displays have been moved elsewhere so there was a large empty space in the museum. It was still an interesting place to visit nonetheless and at BM5 it was a good place to spend some quiet time while getting a history lesson on the history of this beautiful country.

I was interested to learn more about history of Bosnia Herzegovina and therefore visited the museum. There sre only two exhibitions now - photography 15 years after and siege of sarajevo, thus both devoted to Bosnian war. Even tho the exhibition was very interesting on this topic, I hoped to learn more on history of the country - I didnt.... More

Bosnia has beautiful scenic views. It is a fertile land that is lush . They have a vast variety of fruits that grow in abundance. The people of Bosnia are friendly & have a pleasant disposition. The memorial site in Bosnia was very emotional , but it is with great strength that they are moving forward. A must visit

Its an unusual museum in that it has been a little neglected. However, it seems from the signs that this is changing, which will be great. However, there is a very moving war exhibit upstairs that should be seen. be careful of the room at the end if you are uncomfortable with graphic photos. However, try to go if you... More

This is a slightly abandoned place but they are refurbishing it. Gives a good picture about the life of people during the war: what they ate, drank, how did they make their houses warm during cold days... however it's not big enough and a visitor can skip it if he doesn't have a time to do so. The only thing... More

maybe the museum would not be the same for every visitor, but for us that were young in post WW2 Yugoslavia and also remember well the years of war in 1990s, the two exhibitions are informative and nostalgic. One is devoted to the time of Sarajevo siege in the beginning of 1990s with several details about everiday life during this... More

The museum is quite small indeed but gives you extremely powerful feeling of the war. The part devoted to the Bosnian war was far better than Bosnia under Yugoslavia part. You can see guns, personal belongings, official documents, newspaper articles, photos and a small model of Bosnian house during the war. What strikes me most is the wallets of the... More
