The Šeher-ćehajina Ćuprija bridge is a stone arch connecting the districts Nadmlini and Alifakovac on the right and left bank of Miljacka respectively. It is presumed the bridge has been around since the middle of the 16th century. The bridge spans about 30 metres and is a pedestrian bridge. An interesting feature is the large size of the pier and foundations which protects the bridge from the frequent flooding of the river.

This four span pedestrian bridge connects City Hall with the left bank of the city. The name translates to the Mayors Bridge and was built in the 15th century.

Šeher-ćehajina Ćuprija (Ćuprija means bridge in Turkish) connects two sides of the river by Sarajevo's Vijećnica (Town Hall), with town parts Nadmlini on the right bank of the Miljacka river and Alifakovac on the left bank where is the famous House of Spite restaurant located.
One of the legends linked with its origines says that Hajji Husein, mayor (šeher-ćehaja of the city in XVI century built the bridge. The story goes he died before the bridge was built. His son, Mustafa, who was in Istanbul at the time, returned to the town after hearing this sad news and decided to complete the bridge in his father's honor.
The bridge has been recently thoroughly restored, when especially the fence has been reinforced.

The Sehercehaja Bridge (Bosnian: Seher-Cehajina cuprija) is one of the many bridges in downtown Sarajevo. It is located near the beautiful City Hall, but is not particularly worth seeing in itself.
