Not just as a statue, but more learning about it , the history of Skanderbeg as well as details about the statue. Example : there seems to be a reason of the position of the horse in these kind of statues, in this case, only one leg is up ,meaning that the hero died of wounds gotten during battle :)

We ran into a bit of luck when visiting this place/statue. We got with an off the clock tour guide who spent a few minutes with us telling us about the statue and who he represented. It is a nice thing to see and learn. Made me want to learn more about Albanian history.

Get your classic, timeless fotograph at this location. Of note is the presence of a Church and Mosque constructed right next to each other in the back ground. It is across the street from the National History Museum.

To me it is not a big deal. However, Skanderbeg is the national hero of Albania. The statue definitely announces you are in the center of the capital.

A big statue in Tirana's central location. You can easily go there. There are some important buildings such as museum, opera and mosque around the square

Albanians tend to pay homage to the creator of the country.Impressive equestrian statue. Good photo opportunities for the statue and national flag.

Really nice, elegant, stately statue in a nice manicured green area in the centre of the crazy Skenderbeg Square. It's an oasis of calm as the traffic whizzes and honks by. Nice place for a photo stop.
