This mosque is located in the center of Tirana. It is a nice place to visit and look around. The imam is very friendly and will offer you a brief history of the mosque and explain the significance of this holy place. Be respectful as you enter: ladies, cover your hair and shoulders with a scarf and everyone, remove the... More

Ethem beu Mosque is a unique one for Tirana. The oldest one left in the capital by communist regime. That's because of the fascinating interior walls painted with the motives of life in paradise. It took more than 15 years to finish this great art work I would say. It's free of charge based on some tips because there are... More

This was my first mosque I ever visited. I tell you, I was nervous to visit. But when I went inside, I was greeted by a very very kind man who welcomed us. This was a beautiful place to see. I was impressed.

The place is more than 300 years old with the old wall-paintings and decorations still existing . If youre a muslim , or want to experience a muslim feel prayer , id suggest friday special prayers at about midday.

One of the best mosques in Albania. It is build in the center of Tirana together with an icon clock at its left side. This is a relaxing place to visit. Once a hospital was built with it but later it was moved away. A place to visit.

One of the few mosques that survived the "aetheism" era of the communism regime. Worth a visit. Right in the centre of town.

Really enjoyed a visit to the beautiful little Ethem Bey Mosque right on Skenderbeg Square. Beautiful ornate interior, an oasis of calm. We were met by the caretaker who couldn't have been nicer, showing us around, making us welcome and telling us about the place as best he could despite the language barrier. A lovely place and we'll worth your... More
