Located downtown on the Main Street across from the port/marina. The shade is a nice break from the hot sun.
We had a wander around this small park on a recent visit to Papeete. It was too hot and humid for us to walk very far, but we sat in the shade and enjoyed the breeze coming from the ocean.
Pretty , lively and clean ! Some interesting plants (not many though).
But this place is so small that you will probably have finished visiting it within minutes....
Small scruffy park surrounded by traffic. Although it was refurbished a few years ago it needs doing again. No amenitioes aopart from a couple of benches; litter abounds.
Wouldn’t go out of my way to see it, but if you have an interest in history it is worthwhile with its statues.
The park is along the sea front. It has a collection of local flora and a little pond. It is easy to get around and close to downtown.
Papeete is blessed with waterfront parks and, although this isn’t directly facing the marina it’s charming and quiet. Feels very much like a Japanese Garden. Very peaceful.
This is a small park near the center of Tahiti. There a pond with fish that are fun to watch and a cannon left from some war.
A nice shady oasis to walk around to escape the heat. Well used by local as a refuge from the heat of the day located right in the middle of the town centre. Worth a walk through!
Some of the sites of Pape'ete, we spent half a day walking around the capital before catching our Ferry over to Mo'orea
