[Disclaimer: we were on a cruise tour.] This natural location is on the North coast about 30-40 minutes from Papeete. There is limited parking just past a short tunnel; with a gift shop, bathrooms, and a Black Sand Beach! A short walk leads you to...More

We dropped by here for about 1/2 hour on a tour around the island. It was interesting to see a blowhole - it creates such a noise and force! But I want to stay all day (or for a month or so) on the black...More

the blow hole is an attraction but not spectacular yes you can fear the HISSSS of the water once in a while... the better part is the small park they made there which enables you to wal around the hill in a well kept path...More

We were really impressed with the viewing area. It was well groomed and simply lovely. The sound and force of the water was incredible. Don’t miss the Three water falls near by.

Unlike some reviewers I thought this blow hole was far less impressive than others we have seen in other locales around the world. Yet, what I did like was the deep growling noise heard from the "dragon" which was on the other side of the...More

Nice place to break your trip. Would be best in rough seas, but quite noisy even in a little swell. Good toilets

I've seen many blowholes, this by far is the greatest. We were lucky to have some big waves coming in so got good effects of the water shooting back out and also from the "Dragon" on the opposite side of the water, making the loud...More
