Incredible lava tube extending out into the ocean allowing water and air to frequently blow up through the land mass. Sit in the splash zone ... if you dare! Gorgeous scenery which depicts all of the tropical bliss in one incredible location.

Currently being upgraded, clean toilets small car park, nice viewpoint and unlike other blowholes you can stand right by the exit and get sprayed by mist safe. We visited during a decent swell.

You will think there are ancient people haunting the spot with the noise created from this geological treat! We sat and watched both blow holes- the one inside and closest to the road and the other being on the beach side. Just cool to watch...More

The waves were good and the blowhole was working but it was underwhelming. A crevasse in the rocks blew some damp air out every few minutes but we all thought the coach trip from Papeete was not worth the effort.

Although the place is being remodelled, it is very easy to park and walk to the blow hole. The best is to watch the reactions of unsuspecting visitors when the waves create the air flow and accompanying noise.

Tracey (of Unique Tahiti Tours) took us to this unexpected site covered with black volcanic rocks (reminding me of the island's origins) with a silver beach tucked in. But the blowhole was the exciting feature: a periodic explosion of surf from an opening in the...More

Absolutely a curious spot that I think everyone should check it out and experience the funny and strong wind coming out from a tiny hole.

We've seen some great blow holes in NZ and Australia but this wasn't as big. Still, an interesting place to stop while touring Tahiti, and it's practically on the road...

Part of my round Tahiti tour. It is a blowhole located on the northern part of the island. Scenery is lovely.
