I have seen so many blow holes and most of them look fairly identical. So did this one back in the mid sixties. But now, WOW! The cave or entrance of the blow hole is of course on the sea side of the road but...More

We went on a stormy day, so the blowhole was in full action. It's neat to see, but not as impressive as I thought it would be.

It might have been the absence of huge waves that made the blowing weak but we found this place little exciting

[Disclaimer: we were on a cruise tour.] This natural location is on the North coast about 30-40 minutes from Papeete. There is limited parking just past a short tunnel; with a gift shop, bathrooms, and a Black Sand Beach! A short walk leads you to...More

We dropped by here for about 1/2 hour on a tour around the island. It was interesting to see a blowhole - it creates such a noise and force! But I want to stay all day (or for a month or so) on the black...More

the blow hole is an attraction but not spectacular yes you can fear the HISSSS of the water once in a while... the better part is the small park they made there which enables you to wal around the hill in a well kept path...More

We are going to guess that the key to this attraction is timing. If you arrive when the tide is high enough, you will actually see water shooting out of the hole. When we got there, we could hear the noise but no water. But...More

As blowholes go this is a pretty average one, though it might be better with a full see running. It's lovely location with good views and has a couple of gift shops and clean toilets. It's one of the island tour spots, but certainly doesn't...More

The blowhole was an interesting stop as part of a complete tour. Would not make a special trip just for this. What made it better was watching the surfers on the beach below in the large waves. Not spectacular but an interesting formation of lava...More

We were really impressed with the viewing area. It was well groomed and simply lovely. The sound and force of the water was incredible. Don’t miss the Three water falls near by.

Unlike some reviewers I thought this blow hole was far less impressive than others we have seen in other locales around the world. Yet, what I did like was the deep growling noise heard from the "dragon" which was on the other side of the...More

Nice place to break your trip. Would be best in rough seas, but quite noisy even in a little swell. Good toilets
