We arrived just as the skies opened and drowned the city in heavy rain. There was a Friday service under way that was packed, so we could not enter the church. It is very interesting to view with lots of details to catch your eye.

I love this place for its grace and simplicity. Not many ornaments inside, the architecture of the Cathedral is really great. Thanks to this I found it easy to pray inside, nothing as disturbing me. It is very quiet, and the Cathedral is just a...More

We happened to walk by the Cathedral while shopping unfortunately for us it wasn't open while we were there. You could attend mass there, there was a sign that posted their services. We didn't make it for any services though.

Norman styled Catholic Church opened in 1902. Inside it is a real contrast with sparse decoration and reflects the faithful who attend services. The centre of the diocese is situated next door and we received a warm welcome from the secretary at the front desk.

Wouldn't go out of your way to see this cathedral. The outside looks very pretty, but inside was bit plain. No worth it to go out pf your way to see it.

Remarkable to see how quiet and respectful the large congregation is during Mass. Steep stairs from the street.

Suva Cathedral was built in 1902 with sandstone brought from quarries near Sydney, Australia. Its architecture is inspired by the churches of Rome in Italy. The building is covered with ornaments and stained glass and has a crypt in the basement. But it's the parishioners...More
