Great night and entertainment and good value but maybe not the full Cultural experience/insight. A but too controlled and set up.
Food cooked in the ground was great, everything else was typical mass catering for this type of experience.

It was not what we expected.
I can say the welcoming singing was beautiful and the food was superb..even the fijian dancing and the fire dance was exxellent.
The tour leader is a very informative guide but somewhat of a gold digger....he insisted on giving tips secretly. Why? When there's a bowl at the end to offer our appreciation. He said that that the Chinese would take all the tips in the bowl. And how come most of the demonstration houses occupants are his family...daughter, sister, son who supposedly should be schooling and even a grandson. The active demonstration houses I could notice were fire making, pottery and weaving. The rest were just sitting idly. Even the items we can say were bought and to sell. None were handmade. Very hilarious.
A good place to visit but regarding tips I'd rather put in the bowl than giving secretly.

BULA Families ,Thanks a lot for visiting culture village. And we are highly appreciate for your notarial comments for the tour. We are happy to hear that you did enjoy the welcoming song, walking tour, dinner and the show. Our apology for the unexpected experience for the tour guide asking tips from you secretly. Kindly note that our company policy : Staff NOT ALLOWED to ASK TIPS.And the bowl of tips at end of the show is a sign of appreciation from guests who wish to give. And all the tips are shared among all the staff including grounds men, kitchen hands, drivers and reservation staffs.
The company support the tour guide by employing several of his families. His families occupied one of the staff cottage with paying a little money for other necessity. His unemployed wife suppose to look after his son and his grandson, however, they are lofting with the tour staff in the village.
The manager has already verbally advised him on the matters so many times.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by this unprofessional tour guide.
Your comments really help up a lot for improvement.
Thank you.

Perhaps my Expectations were too high. The setting was rustic. The stations on the tour were simple. The guide was good and the information at each station good. There were no commercial sales other than food. Food was buffet style and varied, but not as good as I had hoped for. Alcoholic drinks could be purchased. The entertainment after dinner was good - excellent if one enjoys audience participation.

Sir, we would kindly advise that this sight seeing venue is just to demonstrate an old Fijian set up in the old Fiji.
Though, it looks very simple and informative some setup not what you really expected, the main aim was to sight see how the natives of those days lived and managed their wellbeing for their daily lives.
This is a picture of an old Fiji life style before the invention of new technology . . .
Thanks for choosing cultural village a sight for your night out while spending your holiday in Fiji.

The performances were amazing!! Would’ve loved to have seen more dancing and maybe a shorter guided tour because there was a wee bit of standing around but still an incredible night. All of the entertainers and people were so lovely and friendly and one of the lads even watched my little boy so I could eat my dinner! Loved it and so did my son, he was dancing with them at the end!

I really enjoyed this tour. It was informative, well run and the guides were lots of fun (especially Tino who made us all laugh a lot). It was good to finally have some great Fijian food cooked in a lovo. The dancing at the end was super cool (although I disliked being pulled on the stage in front of everyone haha). Lots of fun and I’d recommend to others.

A bountiful appreciation for enjoying your visit here with us. Our guides are well versed and trained to be informative and to entertain our guests at their very best. In a Fijian village food are cooked traditionally (lovo).
However, we do apologize for the inconvenience.
Although it is part of our entertainment that guests are welcome to participate. We hope that you will understand.
Enjoy your holiday in Fiji and stay safe.

Good tour overall that provides a glimpse and insight into Fijian village culture.
We are vegetarians and weren't able to enjoy the lovo cooked root vegetables as they were cooked in the same lovo pit as the meat (pork, fish, chicken). We've done a similar village tour in New Zealand, where vegetables and meat were cooked separately (hangi). It'd be great if they could incorporate this feedback.
The highlights were the fire dances and the fun, cultural program after dinner. Overall, a wonderful evening spent.

Thank you for your lovely comment. It is very wonderful to hear that you have enjoyed your night with us. We do apologize for the lovo food that you were unable to have a taste. In a Fijian village, when we make a lovo pit, we cooked everything(root vegetables, chicken and fish) inside. So we are deeply sorry if you have thought otherwise. For this review of yours we will consider it. We have also prepared side dishes for vegetarians when they visited the village. We hope that you will understand.

You can call them direct. Pick up a flyer from your hotel. Or you can book it through the hotel. We booked it through the tour operator at our hotel and paid with a credit card

The tour was arranged by our resort manager, who gave us a voucher. This is what you show the reception upon arrival to village. We paid the fees after arrival. Pick up and drop off was also arranged by the village. I hope this is clear.
