We have some kids who are big football fans in our family so was worth the trip for us. Probably most fun to see the stadium. Interesting photos and artifacts but we went through pretty quickly. Would have loved a bigger gift shop but picked up a couple t-shirts.

Must visit experience for football fans, even those with little interest in football as there are a lot of memorabilia from the turn of the century, plus the chance to see the stadium itself and the pitch.

This was a fun museum to visit during our weekend trip in montevideo. There's a big collection of soccer memorabilia, including Uruguay's world cup trophies. Also lots of photos and jerseys. My husband, who's a big soccer fan, got a kick out of all the history stored there. You can also see the national stadium, and take pictures. Worth a visit if you have the time.

I couldn't visit the football museum because it was closed. During a holiday in the summer time and this place wasn't available to visit. The worst thing they don't update the website so it's not possible to get information.

The museum is at the giant stadium. The museum is of more interest for soccer fans. We saw it as part of a group tour; othewise we would have passed.

As a football fan, this is truly a must visit. Greatly underappreciated - I was the only person there. Access to the stadium included with the museum pass. The museum itself, its an outstanding collection documenting the history of football in uruguay with tons of trophies. Only downside - perhaps if there was more interest, an actual guided tour of the stadium would be possible. If they win the rights to the 2030 world cup, this stadium will have to be gutted and renovated. Visit now.

Site of the first World Cup, heard some interesting facts about football in Uruguay and the stadium itself. Only saw this from outside on a city bus tour. Worth a short visit if you're a football fan, but the stadium itself doesn't look like it is in great shape.

Historic venue with accompanying museum containing original artefacts and memorabilia of Uruguay as a footballing nation. Excellent value relative to the relatively small entrance fee.

Monument to the first World Cup held in Uruguay last century. Unfortunately not well kept or updated. A marker to times gone by. Worth a drive around- especially if you are a soccer / football fan.
