Beautiful and safe neighborhood

Friendly locals, decent beaches makes for a great day trip. Great for walking, jogging and biking. A little quiet this time of year so your choice of picnic spots.

Closest thing to nightmare if alone and do not speak Spanish! Only positive memory was that the beach was ideal at the sunset; just put your music on and walk, walk for hours with no noise, no annoyance...

Pocitos, on the Rambla, offers a very nice view of the bay and a wide, long beach. The neighbourhood is residencial. It is particularly nice to go for a walk at sunset, and to watch the city lights turn on.

This is a nice place to stroll along the beach. It is safe, clean and calm. Nice for a picnic or just to sit in the sun.

Pocitos is supposed to be the "be all end all" of city beaches. But with 6 lane traffic and a wall of apartment blocks lining the beach, I would not get too up beat about the place. I really can't imagine how people can live there with all the traffic noise going on. However go a little more eastwards along... More

Beautiful sand beach with life guards, some protected areas and various right off the beach places to eat. Don't be put off by the brown water, it's not polluted but it is silt from the river which gets kicked up by the wind. Crowded on weekends.

You can walk and look at the beautiful view of the river and the condos surrounding the area. There are coffee shops and restaurants near by
