Took the hop on hop off bus from old town. Spent some time roaming around the water front. Many great photo opportunities.

Friendly locals,decent beaches makes for a great day trip. Great for walking,jogging and biking. A little quiet this time of year so your choice of picnic spots.

Closest thing to nightmare if alone and do not speak Spanish! Only positive memory was that the beach was ideal at the sunset; just put your music on and walk, walk for hours with no noise, no annoyance...

Pocitos is centrally located in one of Montevideo nicest neighborhoods you can have everything with a walking distance nice restaurants a beautiful rambla for jogging and have a beautiful stroll with a love one.

I think that if you are lodged at a hotel on the RAMBLA is much better leave your goods at the hotel. I always see people strolling on the side walk wearing bath suits. I'm not sure if they have any locker on the beach... More
Where can I buy fold up chairs for the beach? Is there an area where there are bars and restaurants, they seem few and far.
