We were very surprised at how modern and comfortable these trains were, and to discover drinks and a snack were included! We were lucky enough to sit on the river side in both directions and take in the awesome views. On our return the staff...More

You can only get to Machu Picchu walking along the railroad tracks or taking one of these overpriced trains -starting at a hundred bucks for a roundtrip if you are lucky-. Beside being painted in blue outside, some inca stickers on the inside and the...More

We were a family of 11 that took the Perurail Vistadome train from the Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu. It was a very pleasant and relaxing trip where we had reserved seats to sit beside each other since we were a family group. I took...More

A slow train, made memorable by the food, the service, and the band playing local tunes. Our group of 4 comprised 80 percent of the passengers on the way to MP. The bus journey to the Belmond Sanctuary Hotel finished the trip

Clean trains and on perfect time. Not a single delay. The airlines need to take a lesson from Peru rail and be on time. The staff is super friendly. Train ride has good coffee and some snacks. Don't bank on it for full meal. Buy...More

After a long day of hiking Macchu Picchu, we got to the Vistadome only to be told the "D car" had 48 seats and 4 of our family had seats 51-54. Jhonatan Montufar, the on board service supervisor said he would fix the problem. I...More

Smooth and efficient train service , we were on the expedition train , had complimentary coffee and juices . Clean and well maintained . There are other trains but I don't think the cost difference is worth it .

We took the Hiram Bingham train to and from Machu Picchu. The day time views were very pleasant, and the food both ways was great. Service was excellent. If anything could bring back high-end train travel, this could do it.

It is very hit or miss... We sat in a train car that was more than half empty and the workers told everyone to sit on the right side for best pictures and videos of the scenery. FYI sit on the side farthest away from the... More
