- TheExplorerFamilySomerset, New Jersey7,155 contributionsBeautiful Park Overlooking the Bay and the OceanThis is a fairly small Park in the Miraflores area. It is in the center of the six-mile pedestrian walkway overlooking the cliffs. It is dedicated to Lima’s lovers, and provides jaw-dropping views of the Bay of Lima and the Pacific Ocean from high up. It was designated by National Geographic as one of the most romantic places in the world. The Park takes its inspiration from Gaudi’s Guell Park in Barcelona – the tiled mosaic walls are eerily similar. The walls and the window holes in them provided us with some wonderful photo ops – especially at Sunset. In the center, there is a large sculpture named “The Kiss” (El Beso). It was created by the famous Peruvian sculptor Victor Delfin, who has used himself and his wife as the subjects. We were here in the morning walking around, as well as at sunset, and were happy to capture some amazing photos – especially as the sun set in the center of the “windows” in the walls. The para-gliders jumping off the cliffs created some nice silhouettes against the orange sunset. Absolutely worth a visit. It was one of our favorite spots. We just fell in love with the views.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 October 2023
- Diseree DWashington DC, District of Columbia861 contributionsWhy not? Beautiful sculpture. Very sensual.Loved it. Loved the purpose of the park and the story behind the El Beso sculpture. The park isn’t that big and is reminiscent of Park Guell in Barcelona. The star is El Beso. Be ready for pictures of couples - which I love and don’t find cheesy! I took a picture of a couple who immediately copied the pose upon me suggesting it.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 27 November 2023
- brmusicmanChicago, Illinois3,109 contributionsPretty park!If you’re walking along the coast in the Miraflores area of Lima, this park is definitely worth a stop! It’s a lovely green space with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The landscaping in the park as very nice—trees and flowers and lawns. Staff were busy taking care of the park during our visit—a sign of the pride Lima seems to take in its public spaces and, I’m sure, the reason why the park was immaculately clean! Of course the main attraction is the “lover’s” theme: the walls of the park have pretty mosaics, inlaid with quotations about love, and there’s a large central sculpture that’s fun to see. A nice diversion during a coastal walk.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 8 December 2023

The large sculpture of a kissing couple apparently inspires passersby to kiss and hug each other passionately. And excuse me, is there anything more important in life?Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 February 2024
- Russell3939Castle Rock, Colorado1,026 contributionsPretty views, not much to goI found the vista views to be worth the trip. Overall the park does not have much to see. The park benches and surround area smell of urine. I wouldn’t recommend sitting down. Worth a quick stop if you are in the area.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 4 July 2024

We enjoyed looking at the sculpture of the man and woman kissing, and marvelled at the beautiful view. Some couples had chosen to put a padlock on the gate, but Tom and I didn't do this. Worth a visit if you are in the area, but you wouldn't necessarily spend more than 15 minutes or so here.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 August 2024
- Louis CecileLondon, United Kingdom557 contributionsEssential iconic visit for a picture by the lover's statueThis park in central Lima is popular for visitors to view and embrace near the lover's statue. It is a simple park with great panoramic views alongside the boardwalk. There are mosaic tiles with quotes from lovers and locks for people to leave their mark. Once you take the picture of embracing your significant other and take in the views there is little left to do. However, it is still an essential visit as it is iconic for tourists.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 August 2024

"El Parque del Amor" was inaugurated in 1993 and celebrates "love" in all its forms. At its center, an iconic sculpture - "El Beso" ("The Kiss", in English) - by acclaimed Peruvian artist Victor Delfín, depicts lovers embracing in an endless kiss. Around the sculpture, tiled benches inspired in Antoni Gaudí's "Parc Güell", in Barcelona. Come by sunset and enjoy, from the cliffs of Miraflores, awesome views of Lima and its Pacific Ocean. Enjoy!

A large romantic statue of a couple embracing, entitled “el beso”, “the kiss”can be found in this park which is located alongside the Lima beachfront. The park has Gorgeous views of the ocean, a perfect area to take a walk, go for a run in the malecón, walk your dog. You can find snack bars along the way, etc.

A popular place to walk with great views of the Pacific Ocean. There is a ‘lovers’ sculpture and mosaic walls, which make it attractive, together with a café. Worth 30 minutes or so with some good photo opportunities.

I enjoyed coming to this park high above the ocean. You could watch wind gliders on the high cliffs swooping up and down and there is a famous statue in the park along with a mosaic wall themed after the name of the park. It is a lovely place that is worth a visit.
