The presidential palace is another spot worth seeing in Plaza Mayor. Its an intimidating looking building. We were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard while there.

The Plaza de Armas is the center of Lima, there you will find the most imposing and beatiful buildings in town. Luckily when i was passing by the Presidential Palace they were about to change the guards, which is very traditional, so it was nice...More

Unfortunately we were only able to view it whilst visiting the central plaza. It was very well guarded with armed police.

The palace is just one of many sights in the plaza. Entrance is restricted, but one can see the building from the outside. There was a parade practice while we were there which was an added bonus.

We were with our friends visiting the Old Town and Plaza de Armas. Arrive about 11:45 am and get a good spot. The palace guards will let you know exactly where to stand, and won't allow you to approach the fence. The band starts to...More

At noon time a military band and marching soldiers preform the changing of the guards ceremony which is very good . Well worth timing your visit to Plaza de Armas to coincide with the ceremony.

Went to the Presidential Palace as part of our walking tour. A very beautiful old style classical structure. The grounds are very clean. Worth a quick stopover.

I was there on Friday, which is a workday and it was not possible to visit inside. Police make a barrier in front and it was not possible to have any information regarding visit. But the building from outside is fantastic, in a neoclassic style.

When we were in the main square our attention was directed to the Presidential palace by the band that was playing outside and the consequent chaos it was causing to the local traffic and the traffic police. But this all added to the theatre aspect

Hello, I see a lot of people talking about trekking through the forest and stuff. Was wondering, are treks included when you book with this hotel, or are they add ons? Also, would anyone mind sharing the costs of tours/activities/treks, or post the link where I can find them. Also, if you do want to do a tour and its not included, is it necessary to book in advance or can you show up to the hotel and let them know what you are interested in doing and book then. Thank you!

Hola, Como estas?, realmente no te sabría decir, pues visité la plaza y disfruté de la magnificencia del palacio desde la vista exterior, pero no ingresé ni supe si esto era posible, podrías averiguarlo allí mismo
