I stayed in Barranco and walking down the main street had a lot of options for eating and bars afterwards. Plenty of variety so you are sure to find something to your liking.

My husband and I stayed in Second Home Peru this week in Lima. This hotel is the home and studio of artist Victor Delfin. It is a quiet oasis in the bustling city of Lima. You can walk to everything...gorgeous views from the back porch...More

I have been going there for more than thirty years. Sort of an artistic community. This is a small community, although it has grown a lot in the last 10 years since they now allow apartments and condos higher than three stories. It still has...More

We had a visit by walking several times to the cliffs of Barranco, passing by some nice market & Plazas, old houses, nice museums, theaters and restaurants. We will come back soon.

I like Barranco for many things. It is down to earth compared to Miraflores. This district has many historical buildings and beautiful old time mansions. Murals can be found throughout this district.

I've been to Lima twice, and visits to Barranco were a highlight both times. Loads of great little eateries, cafes, bars, shops, galleries, etc. The architecture is well preserved and gives this barrio a funky flavor which one doesn't find as readily in Miraflores.

I was lucky to live in Barranco for 4 months and I can say that is the one part of Lima city that is worth visiting - really I could leave the rest of the city. If you are on a stop over on your...More
