My girlfriend and I usually give tours to all kinds of friends that stop by Lima. While the museum and the information it presents is quite interesting, it seems that it is no longer well kept. Exhibitions keep disappearing or are relocated without further explanation, tour guides are usually cut off by the presentations and some of the simulators (such... More

The multimedia tour is a great way to get to know the history of Lima. The only catch is that it's in Spanish, and some of the recreations are not apt for young kids.

Disappointing. This museum takes you on a tour of Lima's history from prehistoric times to the present. The tour guide hustles you from room to room, giving a high-speed burst of narrative in Spanish, then starting some cheesy video. I sure could have done without the 3-D video of the human sacrifices. The museum would have been much better, and... More

This could be a great museum - we have heard others recommend it - except for the fact it is only in Spanish. I wish I could say I knew Spanish well, but I don't. I do think this museum could do well to update its audio-visual displays to include English and broaden its audience.

It's the worst case of glorifying the conquest of an indigenous people I have seen, since the B westerns of the 60's celebrated the genocide of the Native Americans. We were quickly ushered to this movie, and after about 10 minutes, I almost got sick. Very little was shown of the Original People, and their magnificent culture. Most of it... More

It was a dinner event to benefit Sinfonia por el Peru, with world's best tenor Juan Diego Florez. The venue was magnificent, with a wonderful room for events. The staff was courteous and very polite with tourists.

If you have two dollars and two hours to spare and understand Spanish you won't regret visiting. The museum is modern, well done, interactive, fast paced, and HILARIOUS thanks to the historical re-enactments shot in the style of cheesy telenovelas! The people who shot them knew what they were doing! I was shaking with supressed laughter half the time! And... More

I enjoyed the interactive museum, and in particular the simulation of an earthquake! The tour is all in Spanish, so it would be helpful to have a translator if you don't speak the language. The tour is long, but keeps your attention by changing rooms and topics of history quickly. On a hot day, it would make for a nice... More

I went with my family to the museum. It was very informative and I was able to learn more about my mothers culture. It is an interactive museum which is very interesting and entertaining. I highly recommend it to the people like me that love museums... and for the people like my mother that doesn't like museums, lol. Its for the... More
