The shop was nice with local art of all kinds and worth a half hour of browsing or so, but we preferred a smaller nearby establishment. The true gem here is their courtyard garden coffee shop. A quiet, shady oasis in Lima. great coffee, good prices, friendly service.

The shop is huge and you will find plenty of stuff. Quality is variable, some looks good but not impressive. Very very very overpriced.
Shop assistants will follow you as you move from one section to another and keep checking you don't pocket anything - which doesn't feel comfortable

This is easily the most beautiful store I've ever visited! It's quite large with different goods in different sections. It's a fantastic place to get souvenirs for friends and family - there's a wonderful array of clothes and art. The staff were all incredibly nice and friendly. I'd highly recommend visiting this store if you're in Lima!

You can find here a huge assortment of products, textiles, pottery, jewelry, the nicest handicrafs, all of top quality. I was quite impressed by the nice environment. I bought a beautiful alpaca sweater for myself and lovely small souvenirs for my friends. Having a coffee at the backard while appreciating the environment was one of my unforgettable moments in Lima.

If you're looking for nice gifts for friends and family, or even for yourself, this is a great place to visit. Mostly handmade/local items or very beautiful ceramics. They also have beautiful jewelry, but way out of my budget... still very beautiful to look at. There is an outdoor patio/cafe behind this store/space, which is beautifully decorated and quiet. There is a little shop selling organic cotton clothing. I just love the atmosphere of this place... very artistic for sure.

Dedalo Arte y Artesania, often touted (with some reason) as a "all-inclusive" souvenir mega store is more like a gallery offering a wide variety of arts and crafts, all hand-made by the local artisans and not your usual line-up of "I Love Peru" ("I Love NYC", fill the blank) mugs, t-shirts and Bob Marley posters, more often than not made in China.
Let's start from the location. Dedalo Arte y Artesania is situated in the choicest of Barranco parts, in Jirón Sáenz Peña. Suffice is to mention the other buildings located in the immediate vicinity of Dedalo Arte y Artesania: the residence of the Ambassador of Spain, Hotel B, the most expensive (that's not to say the best) hotel in Lima, the only one that belongs to Relais & Châteaux network, another boutique hotel Casa Republica Barranco, the headquarters of the leading group of real estate companies Grupo Octagon, and the apartment of the most famous Peruvian writer, Mario Vargas Llosa, the 2010 Nobel Prize winner in literature, whose apartment is right around the corner, on Malecón Pazos (that is, when the writer lives in LIma, which is about 6 months a year).
Dedalo Arte y Artesania is divided into several shopping areas offering all kinds of hand-made jewelry, traditional Peruvian crafts such as ceramics and textiles, ornaments, household items and home decor, bric-a-brac, figurines, books, toys, dolls, clothing items (shawls and sweaters woven of alpaca or vicuna fur), sculptures, desktop objects, and more traditional souvenirs. The prices vary accordingly. We were really interested in a dog figurine, about 10 inches in size on a wooden hand-carved stand, only to find out it was the work of the famous Peruvian sculptor Karla Novy with a price tag exceeding $600. However, do not get discouraged, there is something for every budget and you are guaranteed to bring home a really authentic part of Peruvian artistic tradition.
The very back of the gallery, where the cash register is located, features a sitting area set in a small backyard garden, complete with tables and chairs and kiosk selling beverages and light refreshments.

It was supposed to be a more sophisitcated place to find handicrafts, jewlelry, textiles. Well, I was dissapointed. They have some more modern items yet nothing really impressing. Expensive.
The place is very nice with a back patio where you can have a snack. They have a variety of items from jewels to t-shirts, leathers, textiles, decorative items, handicrafts. If you want to buy a gift for a friend you will probably find something.

This is a guild of artists displaying and selling their original works. Some are modernist and some are traditionalist but there is something for all tastes. If not for shopping then enjoy the courtyard cafe along with locals. Prices are reasonable and I found that Visa payments can be made in Canadian dollars! Bonus!! Worth a visit just to see what the artisans are creating let alone anything else!

Our tour guide suggested this as a great place to buy some nice gifts to bring home - good quality and fair prices (no negotiating). I found some beautiful silver earrings that were less than US$60 and everyone in our group found something they liked. And, we were able to walk back to the JW Marriott from there.

Dedalo is sells a wide array of thing from local artisans. They have a great selection of jewelry that ranges from tradition, to very modern, and . . modern takes on tradition, as well as furniture, functional things for your house, clothing, books, and a little of everything. It's like a permanent craft fair (but only the really good stuff) / coffee shop / art gallery and always worth an hour or two.
