Our Lima tours aim to promote Peru’s fabulous food while giving guests the behind-the-scenes city tour of the capital's most interesting districts. These gourmet culinary tours in Lima were designed so that visitors explore the local cuisine, culture and traditions while being treated like royalty in the City of Kings. All in one day, we take visitors to a local market, secret garden cafes, and Lima’s landmark restaurants where they will prepare Peru's flagship dish and drink - Cebiche and the Pisco Sour - as they wind through the city's most emblematic districts. Private tours also available upon request.

Pisco Sours and Ceviche! Thumbs up!

The one hour class was perfect! Half spent perfecting the pisco sour and the other learning to make ceviche, which if you can find fresh fish, you can easily make it at home. Our... read more

The one hour class was perfect! Half spent perfecting the pisco sour and the other learning to make ceviche, which if you can find fresh fish, you can easily make it at home. Our leader, Lourdes, was friendly, her English good and her enthusiasm contagious. My only complaint is that we worked in teams to make the drinks and it... More

We did the day tour in January and had a fantastic time with our host, Lourdes. The tour is a great introduction to Peruvian cuisine, culture, history, and local landmarks. Perfect way to start our trip to give us some context. Food choices were great and very filling. The market with the fruit stand was amazing. They took us around... More

Jaime was our tour guide for a group of 10 people from all age groups, and we all really enjoyed the experience. You get to visit some nice shops and taste great food, and Jaime was always attentive and making sure everyone in the group was enjoying their visit. Highly recommended!

This was a fantastic tour! All of the food we tasted was delicious and special to Peru. We spent the day driving around various neighborhoods of Lima, the tour guide did a great job of pointing out different historical sites too. She was really knowledgeable and friendly. Visiting the market was a nice touch, it was fun tasting all of... More

I highly recommend this food tour of Lima. Not only is it a great introduction to the variety Peruvian cuisine, it's quick way to get acquainted with the various neighborhoods of the city. I was on my own at the beginning of our trip, and and it was the best way to spend the morning getting to know the flavors... More

The best way to spend my last day in Peru. Did the day tour with Silvia, a passionate and wonderful host. It felt like an outing with a group of friends, very well organised and interesting. As a vegetarian they were very accommodating and ensured I still enjoyed the full lovely and delicious experience. Would highly recommend this to anyone... More

We had the most amazing time on this food tour. We did the nighttime tour. Lima Gourmet picked us up promptly at our hotel and our guide Josselin was absolutely fantastic. We visited Cala where we learned how to make Pisco sours, went to Amaz for some amazonian fusion where we made our own ceviche and tried delicious chifa, cocktails... More

My husband, 17 year old daughter and I took the evening tour with Jossy (so energetic, fun and knowledgeable - extra points for halting the frenetic Lima traffic so her group could cross streets - brave girl!). We only had limited time in Lima and this was the perfect way to spend the evening. Our 12 person group was treated... More

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My parents & I did the city & food day tour and had a blast! Silvia was a wonderful and upbeat tour guide with excellent English...she had an answer to every question and just made you fall in love with Peruvian culture and cuisine. As many have said, no need to eat breakfast on the day of this... More

We took the tour on Dec 23, 2016 with Lima Gourmet Company with my wife and our 2 adult children and our tour leader, Jaime. Unlike a typical city tour, this one showed us the gastronomy of Peru, starting with coffee, fruit juice, a trip to the fruit market, a lesson in making and drinking/eating Pisco sours and fresh ceviche,...
