We entered this place under puente de los suspiros, going down to see the ocean, and ended staying for 3 hours. Music is fabulous, there is a terrace at the roof with great views, and you can have great drinks, some snacks and enjoy very nice art, or even have music classes

I love this place. It sells great coffee to drink on the roof terrace during the day, and it turns into a bar in the evenings. You can enjoy live music or the art in the gallery and it is run by really nice people. Also they have loads of adorable cats!

This is a very nice space for seeing art, meeting artists, attending live events or just taking a rest on the rooftop with great coffee and furry cats.

good ambience and lots of cats with nice music. I would say its very loud though in my opinion plus way too many people for it to be underground.

This place is absolute magic. My favorite place in Lima. You have live music almost every night, the best terrace were you don't hear any traffic noise, great coffee, and very good art.

Visisted during the day and it was ok but nohing special. The upstairs section was dirty and neglected looking.
There were some nice pieces of artwork for sale. Would be nicer to visit in the evening or if they have an event on.

This is a super cute bar with a really nice rooftop where you can chill & downstairs you can play music for as long as you want. There’s also a little place downstairs where you can always check out different art. Always fresh and beautiful. I’ve lived in Perú for a year and this has always been my favorite spot in Lima.

I stayed 8 nights in Barranco and of all the locales, this was my favorite.
Tucked in a valley under the puente the los suspiros, alongside some popular restaurants, this unassuming establishment has a lot of charm and character. Part art gallery and showroom, part live music venue, part bar with a rooftop lounge, El Gato Tulipan really captures the dynamic culture and essence of Barranco.
The patrons and bartenders are really friendly, welcoming and hospitable. They offer a good and inexpensive drink menu--the passionfruit chilcanos are refreshing-- and on weekend nights they host live events, performances and improv sessions by local artists. The diverse and home like ambience, as well as the rooftop area, furnished with couches and coffee tables, gives the place a comfortable vibe.
Overall, El Gato Tulipan is unique and fun. I recommend anyone who is staying in Barranco or passing through Lima on a trip to Cusco--especially if they are into local art and music--to check it out.

very nice for a drink after sunset.
I went there with my parents but the atmosphere is very young. An art gallery downstairs and a rooftop with music upstairs.
