We landed in Peru this morning and wanted something to do to start getting oriented. We saw this workshop and it sounded perfect for us. I booked directly through their website after we landed. Our instructor was Raul. He was super knowledgeable, explained the origin of chocolate, then we got to sample beans, roast them, crush into nibs, and make a chocolate paste. We then used the paste to make different types of hot chocolate. We then made our own candy with a nice selection of toppings, which we retrieved after about 15 minutes. Christopher & Karina, who also work there, were very helpful and greeted us when we first arrived and again when we came to pick our chocolate up. I definitely recommend this workshop! It was educational, fun, and delicious.

The Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Workshop was a great way to end our vacation in Peru. It was very intimate (just the two of us and our instructor, Adriana), and we had a lot of fun learning about the process of chocolate making.
Adriana was very knowledgeable and interesting, and she had a great sense of humor. We laughed a lot throughout the workshop! We also got to taste chocolate along the way and create our own delicious treats to bring home.
The ChocoMuseo also offers a 10% discount on any products purchased following the workshop, which was a nice touch. We got a lot of treats to bring back as gifts (and a few for ourselves), and it was very reasonably priced.
If you’re a chocolate lover, this is a must – highly recommend!

This was so much fun!! We learned a lot about the caco bean to bar process whilst also getting to make our own tasty treats. Adriana ran our workshop with so much passion and humour - whilst having to switch between both English and Spanish - we had such a great time!

What a fabulous experience. Ma-Jo was a wonderful and educational instructor and we had so much fun learning about the process of harvesting cacao and making chocolate. Would definitely recommend to others to do when visiting Lima!

It was an absolutely fabulous experience. You get to make your own cholocates to take home, but also participate in the whole chocolate making process from tree to treat.

I had the good fortune to have Kilver as our host. The ambiance and staff are great and the chocolate workshop is worth every penny.

We had Mojo as our teacher and she was amazing. She was personable, helpful, knowledgeable and so much fun to work with.
It was me and my husband and we laughed and had a great time. She put up with our odd humor and made sure we understood what we were doing, and ensured we had fun doing it.
Highly recommend!

This was definitely in our top list of activities we did in Lima! Not only did we learn a lot about the history and importance of cocoa, but we got to try a variety of things and make our own chocolates!

We got to try our hand at each step of processing cocoa beans then we ground nibs into chocolate and flavored our own chocolates. Some of the tastiest chocolates I’ve had.

We had an amazing experience at Bean to Bar! Manuel was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and engaging. We learned not only the process of creating a chocolate bar but a tremendous amount about the history/economics of Western Europe and Peruvian culture. We tasted ancient hot xocolatl, too! We made custom bars and picked them up one hour later. Highly recommend this activity!
