We visited this museum before going on a 3 day excursion into the Rainforest. It gave a great insight into some of the indiginous cultures from the Amazon Basin. The museum is really well presented

Definitely worth the 15soles entrance fee and gives a great background of all the tribes in the tribes in the Amazon (English and Spanish) and stunning jewellery/headpieces.

A very nice museum, go here to get an overview about Amazonian culture. I found it was impressive and made up by heart, also you can by souvenirs from the Amazon. It is good to get a feel about the cultural diversity in the Amazon.

Hidden gem in Iquitos is a must visit if staying for a short while. Contains an eye opening amount of information about indigenous cultures and their way of life. We were not expecting much but walked out of the museum thoroughly enlightened!
