We had a fantastic 3-days amazon river adventure tour, It was a guided tour and we stayed Heliconia Amazon River Lodge. The lodge was beautiful, clean and comfortable place. Great and unforgettable Amazon experience,
It is beautiful, incredible, magical and a wonderful learning experience. In my experience the people along the river are the kindest! They love to share and learn more about you. Things are changing along the Amazon......visit soon before modernization is complete!
We are a family of 10 with the youngest11. It was a special occasion, our 50 th wedding anniversary which did not disappoint. The boat is wonderful as were the guides and staff. We had just the right amount of excursions being busy outside at...More
We had planned this trip for years, We selected Overseas Adventure Travel as our resource. They are the best provider we have ever used. There is not space here to convey how good they were. We ended up with a glimpse of this monster region...More

Luxurious ship, well-kept, great cabins, nice dining room, really nice bar/lounge, out-door jacuzzi and even a small gym with a treadmill and an exercise bike (albeit difficult to adjust). All...More

do the 7 days. You will go much further into the jungle - 3 days really only just takes you out of sight of Nauta - it's great but really just a taste. The food on our boat, the Spondias, was spectacular, the guiding world-class and the cabins embarrassingly comfortable.

NO, it is not, but it has ceiling fans which makes it tolerable. We went in October when it is fairly warm and of course humid, but after a night of sleeping it wasn't so bad. I would go to bed without any covers and wake up to find I had pulled the covers up during the night, so it actually got cool. It is the Amazon, it's hot. We took showers and it made it pleasant. None of the facilities within miles have A/C as they don't have regular electricity and the generators can't produce that kind of power. LA SELVA is worth not having A/C as it is a fantastic place with great people.
