It’s special to see this building which has been importet by a rubber baron because it doesn’t fit perfectly into it’s surroundings from a size perspective. Interesting contrast to the houses next to it. Luckily it’s not necessary to go somewhere to see it, most...More

The story is that it was designed by George Eiffel. Made of left over pieces from the Eiffel Tower, and shipped to Iquitos by mistake. It has an arts and crafts type shop, and a Pharmacy.

This one corner landmark looks like the French Quarter on the Amazon, if that city could possibly be more humid. This relic on the town square is low profile like the rest of Iquitos, and would stand out better if restored. Go with black painted...More

Eiffel's house is located just off the main square and is worth stopping by to see for a few minutes, perhaps with an ice cream in hand.

This Square is a good place to grab a bite to eat then walk around and see the old buildings and watch the people .

There is nothing worth looking at on the inside. It's not very well maintained either. Nothing too impressive. It may have been important or impressive before. There's nothing on its history either.

A big disappointment. The name Eiffel attached to it raises expectations but it appears to be one more dilapidated building in a city that is full of them.
