As warned here, be sure you go this place and not to makeshift butterfly farm. Be sure to see sign posted below at entrance. Between butterfly and zoo section, I prefer zoo. Humans are caged pathway all time and animals are mostly roaming free. English...More

Enjoyable reserve with a variety of animals and a cute monkey named Nico that likes to interact with people but the staff don’t like for visitors to give him to much attention which kinda is a bummer. Tour of the place is informative and fun...More

You don't need an organised tour to go here. Grab a TukTuk ($10) from your hotel and head to Bellavista Nanay and hire a boat to take you there and wait till you are finish. Be sure to bargain the boat price regardless of number...More

This worthy establishment deserves your support. Yes, animals are in captivity - but only whilst they are being rehabilitated after abuse by humans who indulge themselves by capturing and trying to make pets of them. The guided tour is an eye opener. We found it...More

This was a great place to go check out. Don't buy the fast boat, go the collectivo (3soles) and experience the local way, arrive at Padre Coche and walk through the village to the Butterfly Farm. Loved the concept of humans in the cage and...More

Pilpintuwasi is one of the best known establishments in the area and not at all overrated. It’s the best place to see animals and learn about them- namely it is BY FAR the most ethical of all the animal rescue options in the area. Go,...More

You nicht be able if you start very early. The waterlevel is very low and you cannot get directly by boat to monkey island nor Pilpintuwasi. You'd have to take a speedboat to monkey island.
