The entrance costs is S. /8.00 and it's wellworthed! There you can see how the nuns used to live. The second floor I found more beautiful. There are some beautiful paintings. Pictures are not allowed.

This museum came as a package with the Museum of the Sun. It was a pleasant surprise for what it revealed about the lives of nuns. The collection within the walls of an active nunnery, were extensive and very well documented. The painted frescoes were a rare treat.

This "monastery" is really a nunnery. Founded by a rich widow, the site provides a view into how novitiates and young nuns lived in the 17th century. The site is also interesting because it is founded on the ancient Aqllawasi, the compound in which noble Incan women lived and devoted their lives to the Incan gods. The young Aqllas were... More
