This is a beautiful square with gorgeous churches ...at least three. It takes you back to an older world. The European influence is still seen strong here. The architecture of this area is amazing. You can sit on the steps of the church and just...More

Cusco was amazing and wonderful. They do a great job of watching out for the tourists. We felt safe at all hours and everywhere in the old district. I wish I had 2 more days...

We visited plaza de armas as a part of a Peru essentials tour. Nice square, go to the church before 8am to avoid entry fee and use the scotiabank atm at the corner if you need USD (it dispenses USD and PES)

The centre square of Cusco is a gathering place for tourists and locals alike. We used this as our hub for deciding where to eat and what to shop for. Loved the selection of restaurants around the square

The town came to the square to watch the soccer game and the next evening was the festival of children. Police presence was high- they were visible and friendly but on the lookout for the safety of the people

The square is the main “meeting point” of the town, surrounded by restaurants and other services. The negative point is the “travel salesman” everywhere.
