Many older buildings to enjoy. This was the center of the Inca Empire. Distances were calculated from this area. In another place you can see lines that represent days travel from this spot. As always, lots of opportunities to buy trinkets and souvenirs.

We stayed 4 nights in Cusco. Two nights before we went to Machu Picchu and two days when we goy back. The first day was needed to get used to the altitude. Easy to walk around. Plenty of restaurants. Not cheap in comparison with the rest of South America. Certainly worth a visit.

The Inca palaces were torn down and the blocks used by the Spanish to build their churches. There is a parade and celebration every Sunday to celebrate the relationship between the police and the military. There is always action in the square and the tourist police are there if the vendors get too pushy. Check out the fountain, beautiful!

Stroll around this safe place while enjoying the Spanish inspired cathedrals.....and Starbucks! There is quiet a few places to visit and is very close to the stone of 12 angles.

The Main square is pretty nice only there are a lot sellers but any way it is pretty nice, the mountain around makes more nicer the view.

Amazing 16th and 17 th century town. Many inca ruins right in town. Good walking town. No car or taxi needed. Excellently climate. Warm days cool nights. We are here in rainy season but most of the rain is at night. The altitude is a challenge and we feel the steps when we walk uphill. Vista point at church only... More

The place is amazing, but is pretty much what you can see in every Latin country, the difference is that the churches are built on the place where before was an Inca building. Today you can see the inca foundations in every touristic building you will visit.
