Excellent service for planning and executing a 3-week adventure in Peru. Our family of 3 recently returned from private trekking and touring in Peru. ExplorAndes staff was excellent in every aspect of the trip. Sales staff planned the trip from start to end and booked us into excellent boutique hotels in Lima, Huaraz, Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. Operations... More

I am a travel agent and just recently returned from a trip to Peru. I had never been to Peru before and my main objective was to see Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. I organize many itineraries for my clients and was eager to experience a good private tour operator that I could recommend. Well I can absolutely say... More

Hiking the Inka Trail was on my dad's bucket list and at 70 years old it was a big trip for him but definitely worth every second. The team consisted of 5 porters who carried the tents etc, a chef and our guide. The group was just me and my partner so it felt like a private trek (max group... More

Our family of 4 simply loved our trek. Choquequirao is far off the beaten track through magnificent Andean scenery. No crowds on this trek - we had the extensive, impressive Choquequirao architectural site almost to ourselves. The hiking was strenuous, as advertised, but worth the effort. The crew of 6 (guide, cook and assistant, and three mule drivers) was altogether... More

Explorandes organized for me a prime tailor-made trekking trip to the colca canyon. The service was first class from the very beginning, with a competent and friendly adviser that was able to determine the best trekking options for me. My trip ended up in Arequipa, where did a 3 day colca canyon trekking with amazing natural views, a well experienced... More

Our guide, Wilber, and his team could not have been more wonderful. They fulfilled our expectations and went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. We had an issue on our second day (one person was hesitant about the steep downward descent on one section of the mountain at 14,000 feet). But our team just figured out a plan... More

After an initial rocky start (the company forgot to book our tour) we really enjoyed our 4 hour Cusco city and surrounds tour. They were on time, the van was excellent as was the tour guide Claudia (hopefully I've got your name right). We spent some time visiting a couple of churches in Cusco but the majority of time was... I was looking up the Explorandes Company that took my wife and me from Cusco to Machu Picchu for five days starting June 16, 2012. I saw one disappointed review out of 40 and was shocked. We were told that our group could have as many as 8 people. It ended up that my wife and I were the only... More

We enjoyed a 5 day trek on the Inka trail ending in Macchu Pichu with a tour. We were greeted by our guide on the first night we arrived in Cusco to discuss our trek and what we needed. We then met them on the first day of our trek. The team consisted of 5 porters who carried the tents... More

This was an awesome trip for my family. Hiking the Inka Trail was on my dad's bucket list and at 70 years old it was a big trip for him but definitely worth every second. I highly recommend hiking to Machu Picchu rather than taking the train, it gives you a different insight into the Inka culture and the pay... More
