This is the first class train. Pricy but so worth it. I took my trip through cruise ship I was on. This was a small group, well supervised (although there were no problems, or indications of) I was traveling alone and thought I'd splurge. Happy I did as the other rail systems, while good, did not compare to this first... More

The cars are tired, the seats are uncomfortable. There is no 'dome'. Service consists of a cello portion of wheat sticks and glass of tea. So much for the photo of table cloths and wine glasses. On the return leg, we sat on a siding for over an hour with no word for anyone as to when or if we... More

Train was clean and comfortable. Left station on time. Able to make my reservation through the internet with no problem. Less expensive than the competition. On the trip from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu we were upgraded and were given a very nice lunch. On the way back from Machu Picchu to Ollanta I was not able to sit with my... More

We picked Inca rail because we wanted to suppose the local community, as the other company is foreign owned. The online ticketing purchase ability was great, staff were all very friendly and helpful, the train was clean and tidy. Just a couple of suggestions: 1. The tickets for the open top should be more clear, I thought I got tickets... More

I liked the train trip and at the same time it's not with the money. It's extremely expensive. I would never do this for a second time because of that....

We took Inca Rail from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes executive class - train departed on time, but despite the scheduled stops for other trains to pass at certain intersections we arrived in Aguas Calientes over an hour later than our scheduled arrival time which was frustrating as we had to sit in the train stopped for long periods of time,... Incarail exceeded my expectations! Our carriage was comfortable, very clean and beautifully decorated. The meal was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. The train was on time and windows offer great views of the mountains and river.

We traveled a round trip with this company. Our experience was very good. The only thing we didn't like is that we didn't sit together (two of us). They generate the sits by themselves and ther no way tou can choose the sits by yourself.
