We did the 3 day/2 night Palomani Pass trek with Andean Lodges. Absolutely amazing scenery and vistas. It was arranged for us on short notice which was very helpful for our travel schedule. All arrangements by Andean Lodges were perfect-- pretrip information, travel accommodations, guides, meals, and the lodges are very comfortable and cozy. It was a unforgettable trip. We... More

Spectacular adventure! I did the 3 day 2 night Palomani pass trek. I was looking for a wilderness experience, an adventure which would take me away from the tourist crowds. Something off the beaten path that would allow me to have a true culture experience. Something that would offer me a challenge, test my abilities and push me beyond what... More

At Andean Lodges, our main purpose is to improve community member's living standards, while preserving their ancient traditions and all the breathtaking enviroment that surrounds the Sacred Ausangate Mountain. Trekking in this isolated area, definitely creates a conexion with nature and the Andean culture, and we work hard on taking care of every single detail, in order to create an... More

My partner and I did the 6D/5N Ausangate trek with Andean Lodges on 2 November. We found Andean Lodges to be extremely professional throughout the trip. Everything was perfectly organised: food, clean linen in all the lodges, a knowledgeable and competent guide (Wilson) and great attention to detail (hot water bottles in our beds and even a chocolate on our... Let me first say that I am not an expert hiker. I walk -- I walk a lot. And I did my homework on this trek -- I read all the posts and communicated with others who had done this trip. But none of that truly prepared me for this experience. It was extraordinary in every way -- one of... More

During 5 days and 4 nights I've experienced the most amazing landscapes I've ever seen in pictures; until I've done the trekk. It's different to read blogs, search information on Internet and on the other hand, experience yourself the greatness of Apu Ausangate in Cusco. In my specific case, I lived between Heaven and Hell. Like Heaven: landscapes are beyond... More

I am 50 and my 20 yr old son and I went on the 5 day / 4 night Ausangate trek with Andean Lodges. It was absolutely amazing. I went on an Inca Trail 4 day trek with Condor Travel with my wife and all four kids 2 years ago and loved it and wanted another experience in the Andes.... More

You will thoroughly enjoy the Andean Lodges experience if you like: 1. Fantastic "once in a lifetime" scenery 2. Walking 3. History and culture 4. Small group activities 5. Environment/cultural preservation and sensitivity The staff is out of this world...intelligent, experienced, kind, generous, protective, skilled. By far the best experience with a tour company we've ever had!

We did the five-day/four-night trek in June this year, and had a fantastic experience. My wife and I are in our mid-60’s. We love walking and have walked/hiked in many countries, mostly independently. But this was our first walking trip in South America, our first trek (that is, with guides, pack animals, and full crew), and our first experience at... More

Thank you for your comments. Great to know you had a great experience with us. An acclimatization period prior the trek is always very important. We take very seriously the precautions to the altitude sickness, that is why all our guides are well trained on this and first aid assistance, and we also have all the necessary equipment to guarantee... My husband and I were booked on a 10 day acclimitisation tour with Andean Lodges. The itinerary is very flexible which was great, because I changed my mind several times! I also liked that Andean Lodges arranged all the logistics, transfers, tickets and tours, but allowed us to choose and book our accommodation independently (as I'm a bit fussy about... More

Thank you for your comments, we are glad that you had a good time in Cusco and Machupicchu during our acclimatization program. As you said, these problems with food may happen frequently while travelling, fortunately our staff is well prepared on first aid assistance, and we have a protocol for those who can't continue the trek. It was very nice... More
