The Short Inca Trail 2-Day Tour with Encuentros Peru was nothing short of spectacular! From the start, the team was incredibly organized and attentive to detail. Our guide was knowledgeable about the history, nature, and culture of the Inca Trail, making the journey so much richer. We felt safe and well taken care of throughout the hike, and every part of the experience was beautifully orchestrated. Seeing Machu Picchu at sunrise was absolutely magical! I highly recommend Encuentros Peru for anyone looking to have a smooth, memorable, and enriching adventure.

The 2-day tour was perfectly paced, with plenty of time to soak in the stunning views of Sandoval Lake. Our guide was a gem, sharing fascinating stories about the local ecosystem and helping us spot rare animals like monkeys and caimans. The night walk to spot nocturnal creatures was a thrilling highlight. This trip is worth every penny for anyone who loves nature and adventure, and our whole family recommends this tour with Encuentros Peru Adventure!

I just returned from the Vilcabomba trek. Jose organized a wonderful trip- start to finish. The attention to detail was excellent. There was so much care and consideration built into our experience.
Lio, our guild, was beyond knowledgeable- he was a straight up badass! Lio shared his vast knowledge of Inkan history in a creative and passionate way. The crew that assisted us on the track were local pros and I felt a true sense of hospitality. The hike was long and difficult and not for the inexperienced. A truly amazing experience and soo much fun!

The trek with Jose was one of the best experiences of my life. We were immersed in the culture of the people living in the Andes and got to do a lot of thrilling activities. The weather was perfect and was organized very well. Reaching Machu Picchu on the last day was extremely rewarding and was awesome, I recommend doing the additional hike to Machu Picchu mountain as well. The food was also very good that was provided for us, it was all classic Peruvian dishes

We took the 3 day Inca Jungle Trail just because of the varied list of activities which included Mountain bike ride, River rafting, Zipline and of course the hike to Aguas Calientes (the base town for Machu Picchu).
All the activities were safe and well organized.
Jose our tour guide was always ready at hand to help out. He was prompt in responding, clarifying and re-clarifying all my queries even before I reached Peru. Its an added assurance to have such an active support in a foreign country.

Great tour with adventurous activities. Our guide José was very nice and explained a lot about the inka culture etc. and answered all our questions! The food was good (vegetarian and vegan options available). The accomodation was ok, but not entirely in accordance with the price we paid. All in all it was a great experience; we enjoyed it a lot!

We booked a raimbow mountain trip with Encuentros Peru Adventure, booking the trip was easy however the day of our trip things were not as promised.
here is the summury of our trip
Positives +
-Small group,
-Easy to book
Negatives.-
-50m late pick up
-Driver was in a rush, with loud music, answer the phone driving, which we consider no responsible about their clients.
-Basic breakfast and lunch
-Our Guide did not have first aid kit and oxygen, highly neccesary for this trip, one of the hikkers got sick and guide was not well prepare for emergencies.
-Guide still needs to improve his english skill, we had better ones in the previous tour we did.

Stevin was our guide and he was amazing! He showed us the ruins of Ollantaytambo, Moray, the salt mines, and then took us to lunch. After, he took us to a place where a woman showed us how she makes clothing out of alpaca wool and then to the town of Chinchero. This was all in one day and has been the highlight of our Peruvian experience. He explained the history of every place we went to and was so kind. If anyone is visiting Peru, I would recommend getting Stevin as a guide!!

The highlight of my trip to south america! José and Gustavo are locals that have a great knowledge of the region & clearly are passionate about its history. They brought us to really cool secluded locations in the jungle for food/accommodation, went to some real hidden gems! Quite a busy schedule with activities/treks for the four days with early starts every day, but also time for cervezas in the evening if you fancy, which we (irish) definitely appreciated! Two very fun guides & a great group of twelve of us from Brazil, US, Japan etc, couldn’t recommend enough!
