The trip was fantastic. They took care of everything. Planning a trip to Machu Picchu can seem daunting, but these guys took care of every last detail for us and we just enjoyed the experience.

Matt and South Andes Travel did an amazing job organizing our family vacation in Peru. Matt worked with us on the itinerary and made all of our internal transfers, accommodation reservations and excursions. We do not speak Spanish but Matt communicated with us daily making the 2 week trip stress free and seamless. We couldn’t have asked for more and at time felt like royalty! We had an incredible vacation that would not have been the case without South Andes Travel. I could not recommend them highly enough and look forward to our next adventure!

Matt was AMAZING! He planned my whole trip head to toe and did an amazing job! He included everything I wanted to do while keeping in mind my budget, goals, and interests. He is INCREDIBLY responsive and was always there in what felt like seconds of needing him. He knows all the off beaten trail paths that will make sure you get a real authentic experience instead of what every other tourist gets. He was great at adapting on the move and I couldn’t recommend him more!

This was our first to South America and we chose Peru and another good decision was to go with South Andes travel to plan our trip. Matt the travel owner was referred by one of our friends and that was one of the best decisions we made for this trip.
Matt and his team works with you diligently to carve out a trip per your requirements. The best part was the service...one booked, paid Matt literally navigates and stays connected through your entire trip ensuring smallest comforts - getting boarding passes, reminders, introducing drivers and the list goes on.
His whole team of guides, cars, drivers are a bunch of nice people. His selection of hotels are per your budget and we got good experience.
We did Lima, Amazon Jungle, Cusco, Pisac, Machhu Pichu, Arequipa, Condor visits, hot geysers.
If you are planning to go to trip, consult them and get their services it's worth it.

My adult son, Dustin, and I just returned from a fantastic 18-day Peruvian adventure put together by Matt. We are typically independent travelers and this was the first time we have utilized a "travel service" but Matt came highly recommended by a mutual friend and I'm really glad I utilized him. Matt was great in offering proposed itineraries and was extremely accommodating on various changes to same. It was clear to me from the beginning that his goal was our happiness. He is extremely knowledgeable as to Peru, he listened closely to my goals, worked within our budget and offered input on things that he knew were important to us and delivered on same. Every detail of our adventure was well thought-out and navigated and Matt was always "hands on" for any questions or assistance. He was also helpful when I was not feeling well due to altitude sickness and remained flexible and accommodating in this regard. This time with my son was very special and important to me and Matt did a great job in making our trip truly memorable and meaningful from beginning to end, the end being making it possible for my son to wake up on a Uros floating reed island for his 28th birthday (an island birthday tradition). I recommend Matt without hesitation and am happy to now call him a friend. Also, all of the guides that we had were great, specifically I'd like to mention Roger and Alian, our guides in Cuzco and Matchu Picchu, were fantastic! Both a wealth of information!

Well now, thats some amazing feedback from what I am sure was an epic 'mother and son' adventure. Your smiles in the photos say it all !!
We do our best to understanding our travellers needs when designing these tours. We like when our more independent clients actually enjoyed having some assistance through their trip and without having a massive amount of pre-trip planning time we were glad to be able to offer some fast-tracking in the details.
Moreover, your interest in knowing more than just the usual spots, and a real eye into the cultural aspects, especially in those last few days of the trip also takes a bit more eye on detail than standard conventional tours..... AND how could we not make sure that Dustin had his birthday for an 8th consecutive year on another Island (this time of the floating kind)...
Glad to have you both with us and thanks once again for the in-depth and thoughtful review :)

We went on a 16 day trip with the agency. We enjoyed every moment: the food,
the people, the views, and everything that Peru has to offer. Matt was great, took care of everything we needed. Responds quickly to all inquiries and has an almost perfect solution to any issue we faced. He is a lovely and amazing person. We are so glad we went through his agency. highly recommend !

I had such an incredible experience with this agency Mate is nice and open mind to create the suitable plan for you , though you don't really familiar with the options he has a patient to describe all of them. For me it was a good combination between physical and getting to know the communities and thier people in a natural way. Roger was my guide and he is the first guide ever that I could not stop listening to him. Roger has full of knowledge of the Inka history, the culture nowadays , the agriculture etc.
he has inspired communication skills with the people , clients but also with the families we stayed.
The cost is not cheap, I'd say expensive BUT worth it for every single moment. One time experience!

We were in Peru in January and scheduled for a tour with South Andres after mission work. Due to the political situation, we could not fly into Cusco and visit Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, etc. Yaneth and her team sprung into action and created a new experience for us within 24 hours. She found a safe place for us to go (Paracus), set up all the transportation, scheduled winery tours, a boat tour, and an exceptional experience in the desert. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for all the communication before the trip, during the trip, and after as we filed for travel insurance claims. I recommend South Andres 110% and plan on using them again very soon

We are glad that you were still able to enjoy your Peruvian experience even though the plans were changed.
Very, very rarely do we have to make these kinds of re-arrangements, but when it does happen be rest assured we have continguency plans in place.
We look forward to see you all again (maybe early next year) and you can finally get the opportunity to see Machu Picchu!

Me and my friend planned 5 days hiking trip to Peru. Matt helped us from the beginning to customize our entire trip so that we could cover as much as possible. He listened to us patiently, answered our repetitive questions over phone/texts, understood our requirements and suggested us the plan. Him and his entire team is knowledgable, enthusiastic and customer focused. We felt safe and fun. All of them went above and beyond to accommodate our last min change request in the plan. They made sure to make each day of trip enjoyable
