t's not easy, the 4100 meters altitude (and counting), make the breath difficult, but when you get to the lake, the your gonna lose your breath! Go for it! Take your time, it's going to worth your time!

This journey was one of the most incredible hikes/treks I have ever, or even aspire to have, completed in my life. The variety of views and diverse landscapes we saw took my breath away (Glacier lakes, mountain passes, fields, jungles, rivers, and, of course, Machu...More

The scenery on this trek is incredibly diverse everyday you are hiking. Crossing the pass, on a good day, you can see Salkantay mountain in all its glory. The lake you can hike to on day one is stunning. Beautiful turquoise water with mountains in...More

I wanted to do the hike because I wanted to escape the crowded Cusco. However, this hike is full of agency groups which let donkeys carry their stuff. Therefore the really stunning nature cannot be enjoyed in silence and you should constantly watch out for...More

Nothing compares - even in the rainy season. Had a great family trip and avoided ALL the crowds - felt like an Inca King. Physically fabulous exercise, and culturally stunning. JUST DO IT!!!

Karikuy---All aspects of the trip were very good. Only problem was guide hitting on my woman friend. Offered her a private massage and gave her his cell number in Cuzco in case she got bored with me. Did not learn that until... More
Emmy, my wife and I from Melbourne are thinking about trecking the Matchu Pitchu in April 2017. May I ask why you did it in October and why not the classic Inca trail ? and did you spend much time to acclimatise in Cusco.. Can you also share any other advise ... our plan is to fly to Santiago then El Calafate (Patagonia), Buenos Aires, Julianca (Lake Tticaca), Lima then Cusco ... What do you think.. hoping that the stay in LIMA and couple of days in Cosco before the trek will help us acclimatise and minimise the altitude sickness.... Many Thanks , George Li
