We arrived in arequipa and wanted to get a quick overall tour of the city in before deciding what to do next. We booked the longer city and country tour which starts in the heart of the old part of town and then heads out and around. The guide spoke spanish and english and never rushed explanations and welcomed questions.... More

We have done the 4 hours tour with Tour Class Arequipa and I think the tour was ok. Your can't compare the tour with London or San Francisco, but here we paid only 35 soles per person. Once you book the tour, you get fixed assigned seats. The bus is nice, and the explanation in Spanish and English. You have... More

I thought this tour would lead us to interesting sights around Arequipa, with a good guide to help us understand what we were seeing. Instead, we skipped many of the more interesting sights (such as the main cathedral in the Plaza de Armas) and instead went to various businesses that were no doubt giving kickbacks to the tour company. We... More

This is such a good way to see the place without having to puff and pant at altitude. The full tour takes 4 hours and you will have to pay extra to visit the mansion etc. They tend to also stop at tourist shop areas too which is a bit of a pity as we hate to be herded into... More

We were convinced to go on this tour due to our limited time in Arequipa. A wonderful chap called Luis spoke to us and we liked his style and demeanour so we thought we would go on the half day tour. We were told that we would get "good seats". When you get to the bus, all the seats at... More

We have been in Peru for 18 months, so the noise, traffic, people, manners etc were as expected. The tour was too long, and I agree with some of the comments about extra costs. Operator, either include the extra costs and charge more or run more buses so those that chose to get off can wait for the next bus.... More

Well, we decided to do the bus tour (of the countryside [Campiña]) as we have walked all over Arequipa and wanted to see more that was unavailable to us on foot. Having spent some time in Arequipa, I know already that you can't expect to be near the roads without suffering from the horrible traffic - fumes and noise pollution.... More

I did the four hour tour booked through my hostel. While the tour itself was rather inexpensive, it seemed almost every stop you had to pay a fee to get in. So basically the whole thing was a lot of getting on and off a bus with not a whole lot of information. Also I didn't care to see these... More

Response to review on TripAdvisor Luis Carpio, BusTour manager (yellow buses) in Arequipa (Peru) in response to the review posted on TripAdvisor, in principle thanks to the author and also expresses its concern at the comments, that somehow affect our business image. I regret that the tour was not your total satisfaction, mainly because we care about the total satisfaction... More

Bus Tour is one of three bus companies (at least) running daily sightseeing bus tours around Arequipa. All are mostly the same, but this one is in English as well as Spanish. The buses are double-decker, and the top level is open but with a sun shade. The sun shade was great because the sun is so strong here, but... More
