I did this cooking class with my boyfriend last month, the first cooking class i’d ever done. The women at reception were quite rude and unhelpful, but the girl running the class was nice. We made the “traditional” menu. Dessert (a quinoa flan) was pre-prepared,...More

Thank you for your review. We take seriously your observations. Quinoa dessert will be prepared from scratch starting today. Before, quinoa was boiled in advance. The rest of the process (mixing and putting to the oven) is always done by participants. First group starts at...More

I stayed at the hotel where this cooking class was offered. I joined 7 young people from France. The teacher was very well organized & had each of us contribute to the dish. First, we made a tuna/mashed potato/onion appetizer which was not only delicious,...More

This was a truly fun and memorable experience. Chef Ale is a wonderful teacher, ver organized, enthusiastic, efficient, and clear in her instructions. We came away with knowledge and very full bellies. Now we have the recipes to prepare at home. I highly recommend Chef...More

I try to take a cooking class whenever I travel. I have done classes in Oaxaca, Mexico; Hanoi, Vietnam; Fes, Morocco; Chiang Mai, Thailand and now in Arequipa, Peru. Each class was chosen by me with care and several recommendations and each has, remarkably, been...More

Muchisimas gracias! Thank you for such a great review. The Cooking Experience is planned to be totally participatory. You cook. We just direct the group and set the cultural environment surrounding recipes and food in Peru. We are not a restaurant trying to have its...More

We really enjoyed our Peruvian cooking experience. We added the market tour for a minimal fee and really enjoyed trying all the exotic fruits! Lady was a fantastic guide and was happy to answer any questions, not only about cuisine but about Peruvian culture and...More

Lady is such a great girl! As Alejandra, Monica, and Anjuly. All of them are our instructors. What do they need to be one? Pasion for the Peruvian Culture and good communicational skills. Cooking? No problem. They cook as a natural ability! Our main goal...More

I found this activity in my travel guide and figured we could take a chance. The class was very reasonably priced for the amount of food you prepare, and we did not need dinner afterwards. Great menu selection! Essentially the first person who signs up...More

In Arequipa we opted to skip the 3am wake-up for Colca Canyon and spent our full day here in the city instead. This cooking class is one of the things we did and I would recommend. It was a small class with a lot of...More

I have to say that after reading all the very positive reviews I was a bit disappointed by the experience. The course is advertised as 2 hours cooking three dishes but there are a few caveats once you get there. For insurance, the desert is...More

Yes, it s only a 1 hour 30 class. We will correct the promotion. I agree it s not a good way to start class with 8 persons preparing one dessert. Will be better if every couple prepares its own dessert. We will change that....More
