When planning your trip to the remarkable Galapagos, don’t pass up an opportunity to get to Bartolome. While it can be a bit expensive to get there, it is one of the most remote and beautiful locations I’ve ever seen. It is the iconic image...More

I took a day tour here and the views were just incredible!! So picture perfect. Not much in the way of wildlife via snorkeling however but this place is for the hike and the view, not for marine life.

This volcanic island is made up of many volcanos. A well constructed board walk takes you over the lava fields up to a great lookout point. With views over both sides of the Island. Checkout the pinnacle rock that the Americans shaped through target practice...More

The thing to do on Bartholome Island is to climb the mountain, via a set of 314 steps. There are places to rest along the way, so you can take your time. The mountain is about 400 feet tall. At the top there is the...More

Visited on our cruise itinerary, climb to top not that challenging, plenty of observation/ resting spots. Worth it for view of pinnacle rock at the top and photo opportunity. We then snorkelled round the point and were joined by half a dozen Penguins, darting amongst...More

I took a day trip from Santa Cruz to Isla Bartolome. I knew before I ever left the United States that this island demanded me to climb 350 steps up to the top. I went to the gym and worked out on the stair stepper...More

I went on a day trip from Santa Cruz to see Pinnacle Rock and the view you see when you google the Galapagos Islands. It was also my last shot at seeing penguins. No luck with the penguins. All of my guides have told me...More

Our boat departed the Itabaca channel at approximately 8am. The water was calm as we passed Daphne major and minor along the way. The boat reached Bartolome after 2 hours and the dry landing was easy. Unfortunately we only saw one hawk and one iguana...More

The view was the reason for me decide to go there. Yes, it is spectacular!! But have to mention it takes a lot to eyewitness the view. The car ride and boat ride. The boat ride to Bartolome was actually very pleasant. The return trip...More

We were there end of December to end of January but I’m sure February won’t be much different. Weather was awesome! Nice and warm in the 80s. We were there 10 days and not a drop of rain. I think we had maybe 2 overcast... More
