Beautiful Display of Ecuadorian Crafts

Cuenca has a number of places that display the many crafts of the peoples of the area, but this was spectacular. Many fine crafts on display.

Was there today, just walking around and stumbled upon this place of wonder and awe. I have never seen so many local art pieces all in one area. I was even tempted to sit down and paint some pottery!

Stunning world display of IKAT
Feb 2016 • Couples
UNESCO recognized for Excellence in Handicrafts. Beautifuldisplays showing evolution of IKAT from Asia, to Central Europe, Africa, Europe and thence to South America. There is also a room showing via video the production of IKAT. A wonderful surprise of a find adjacent to the Rio Tomebomba. Definite recommend for IKAT / Fabric design folks.
