First, we’ll go to the "Inti-Nan" In-Situ Museum (at about 2400 meters above sea level, about 7800 feet), where you can see replicas of the Ecuadorian Highlands and Amazon and, of course, to learn about the Quitu-Cara culture, their comprehension, long before the Geodesic Mission, on the stars, and, therefore, the empowerment of the term "Center of the World"; this visit takes about 45 minutes (entrance not included).

If you are used to the traditional big city then Quito's old town will be impressive for sure. It is considered best preserved old town in all South America and it has plenty of history that will keep you awake. I totally recommend to visit it even if you have just a couple of hours.

Normally, it should be enough to serve customers in a polite and efficient manner, Yet, it is natural for one to desire appreciation and personal attention. During our stay at Quito, Miri and I were well and warmly guided and taken care of and would like to thank you for your exceptional consideration, cooperation and patronage. Additionally, I would like... More

My wife and I went to the Ecuadorian Amazon last year via staying in Quito and the surrounding area for about a week. Quito is the highest capital in the world at over 9000 feet tall. Take your time when you get there to let your body and brain adjust to the attitude different. Old Town Quito has many delightful... More

This is a great town to stroll around. We saw all the main sights and did so easily in a day. Major recommendation is to go up the towers in the basilica first. You will be able to go further than in any other church with a walkway above the inner ceiling leading out to a somewhat precarious ladder to... More

We strolled through old town for hours on end without ever getting bored. Historic buildings, museums, churches abound, as does shopping and dining. Seemed very safe, with tourism police on nearly every corner, and a very fun and pleasant experience.

Interesting history! Well worth the time! There is always something happening! Our guide took us around, the queen of quito ( or Miss Quito) was there to rally against violence , and there was another demonstration regarding missing persons! We got to go into the presidential palace too!

I saw a lot of stuff the church of the merced, plaza grande (main square) where there are the goverments buildings, san francisco museum (a salesians priets museum) with a lot of culture and antics paintings, this is pretty amazing. You have to walk a lot but don't rush it cause of the altitude. It's exhausting, take your time.
